REST IN PEACE IZ THE WIZ.

Graffiti Legend IZ THE WIZ past yesterday. He was 50 years old. All of us here at the Atlanta Bench send our respect to the friends, family, and fans of this graffiti Icon.

Iz was known for his prolific artwork on the NYC subway system throughout the 1970's and 1980's. He was one of the few NYC writers to hold the title of "ALL CITY KING" and will be forever memorialized in the graffiti documentary STYLE WARS.

    His website doesn't say anything about his death, and the wikipedia entry says he died of kidney failure, with no reference..

    Much respect and thoughts to his people either way..
